Renew your spirit and refresh your subtle energy bodies with this soothing bath ritual. Let's dive into the details of crafting a relaxing, rejuvenating experience with bath water, rose petals, Epsom salts, olive oil, herbs and essences. This ritual can be tailored for both a full bath or a foot bath, ensuring accessibility for everyone.
Materials Needed
For a Tub Bath:
Substitutions to consider:
If you have sensitive skin: Opt for floral waters over all essential oils, dried herbs/ petals or other fresh ingredients. Make sure to do a skin patch test before soaking the whole body.
For a Foot Bath:
How to do it
Prepare your elemental salt blend:
Begin by adding the salt, olive oil and any dried herbs/dried rose petals or essential oils to a mixing bowl. Blend your elemental mixture by hand until fully incorporated. If you are using fresh petals, floral waters or fruit slices, just mix your salt and olive oil together in a bowl at this stage.
Add positive intentions:
As you mix the ingredients by hand, infuse the blend with Reiki, prayers, incantations or positive intentions of renewal. Feel the energy flow through your hands and into the mixture, and all other ingredients that might not be in the bowl just yet.
Prepare your elemental salt blend to go into the bath:
Place the your elemental salt blend into a satchel or organza bag and add to your running bathwater. Placing your salt blend in a satchel makes for easy cleanup when using dried herbs and petals. If you are using fresh rose petals, citrus slices or floral waters this step can be skipped, and the salt and olive oil blend along with the fresh elements can be added directly to the bath water as the tub fills.
Create a divine synergy:
Once your salt, oil, rose and renewal essences have been added to the bath water, infuse your bath water with reiki, prayers, incantations or positive intentions of renewal - asking the water to bind with the other elements to work with you on the level that is most required for this session. Place your hands in the water, continuing to focus on your intention and mix the water and your elemental blend creating a divine synergy.
Enhance the Ambiance:
As your tub finishes filling, create a serene environment by placing crystals like amazonite, green aventurine, Herkimer diamond, or selenite on the edge of the tub. Scatter fresh rose petals around the floor or tub, light candles, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
Soak and Cleanse:
Soak in the warm water for about 20 minutes. Allow the Epsom salts and essences to work their magic, drawing out energetic debris from your biofield and chakras. After you are done soaking, shower off to remove all the salt, oil and any remaining energetic debris. Imagining all this non-contributing energy releasing and going down the drain to finish the transmutation and cleansing process.
Fill up with light:
As you are showering, create a new intention that all parts of you that were once filled with darkness, heaviness and non-contributing energy begin to fill up with love, healing, forgiveness and light! Calibrating your frequency to its naturally high potency and potential.
Gratitude and Thanks:
Close this bath ritual down with gratitude and thanks; Thank yourself for making this time for rest and renewal, and offering gratitude to all the healing elements that partnered with you in this self care work. Return any of the dried herbs, petals or fresh ingredients to the earth by discarding them into your compost or scattering them all over your grass or under your trees or bushes.
Foot Bath Alternative
If a full bath isn't available, this ritual can be recreated in a foot bath. Use the same process, adjusting the ingredient quantities as listed above. Do not skip the showering off portion of this ritual. It is just as important when doing a foot bath ritual like this one.
Important Safety Note
Always mix essential oils into a carrier oil like olive oil to avoid adverse reactions such as skin irritation. For more detailed guidance on the safe use of essential oils, you can visit The Tisserand Institute's website: The Tisserand Institute.
It is also important to be cautious when using citrus fruit slices. The citric acid in these fruits can potentially irritate sensitive skin. Add the slices whole, and refrain from squeezing the juice out. If you have sensitive skin or are prone to allergies, it's best to do a patch test before adding citrus fruits to your bath. Additionally, avoid using too many slices to minimize the risk of irritation.
Post-Bath Tips:
Drinking extra water after a salt bath helps to rehydrate the body and support the detoxification process. When you soak in an Epsom salt bath, the magnesium and sulfate in the salts can be absorbed through the skin, which helps to draw out toxins and impurities from the body. Drinking water helps to flush these toxins out of your system and keeps you hydrated.
You can find more information on the benefits of Epsom salt baths and the importance of hydration in this Healthline article.
Indulge in this rejuvenating ritual this spring to refresh your energetic bodies and invite a sense of renewal into your life.
Happy soaking!
